Greenleaf is written by Craig Wright. The first season of Greenleaf was released on 21 June’16. The drama series runs around the Greenleaf Family and their secrets while mentioning the American- African members. There is love and care between the family members but the negative emotions overpower and add to the thrill and drama. Oprah Winfrey, Clement Virgo, and Lionsgate Television comprise the producers. The series has received Gracie Award and two NAACP Image Awards.

The lead characters include Bishop James Greenleaf, Lady Mae Greenleaf, and Grace Greenleaf. The role of the father, the Bishop is played by Keith David, and of the mother, Lady Mae is played by Lynn Whitfield. Up to Greenleaf Season 6, you can also spot Merle Dandridge as the daughter who vanished for 20 years. Oprah Winfrey has also made an appearance on the show as the aunt Mavis McCready in season 1 and season 2 of Greenleaf.

Storyline
The story revolves around a family and showcases the dark sides involved with the same. It tells about the modern society and hypocrisy around us. The Greenleaf family are the main members of the church. Mysteriously unwinding the hidden lies and truth of the family and so are addressed during the show. The daughter, Grace comes out in the story in no expected way after twenty years. The last season is complete with the opportunities and story. See what Greenleaf season 6 holds for its viewers. The Bishop is often tied up between the issues and the first lady of the church is shown manipulative and cunning.
The death shown in the series of the sister is still unknown and shows no clue about the same. The story bounces from one court to another with a less or negligible sense of faith and hope.
