The year 2020 has not been a good one for many throughout the world. It has brought health as well as economic losses for everyone. It has not spared the entertainment industry as well. We keep hearing news about the cancellation or postponement of many upcoming tv series or movies. It will be of no surprise today if we get to hear that one of our favourite shows’ or tv series’ news season is scrapped. In these tough times, all the fans and gamer seek is a trailer announcement of their favourite show or series or a game.

Today we have the anime series, Dr Stone. It concluded its first season back in 2018. Since then, we have been waiting for its return. Its last season ended in February 2020. The series has become famous for its unique characters and plot. Dr Stone is based on the manga titled ‘JUMP’ by Riichiro Inagaki.
Plot:
The plot of the series revolves around Taiju Oki, Senku Ishigami and Yuruziha Ogawa. When Taiju almost proposes Yuruziha, a green light ends up petrifying all of the human race. After being petrified for thousands of years, Senku and Taiju wake up months apart.
‘The Stone World’ is what they are back into. Senku aims to change the world through science as it has gone way far behind its time. Senku discovers the chemical mixture that revived him which featured Nital.
The next instalment of the ‘Dr. Stone’ is expected to follow Senku on his way to revive the population. It is expected to follow the Stone Wars arc from the manga series. More stone wars are expected to be seen. Senku will go on to build a scientific civilisation and Tsukasa may form his own kingdom.
The dispute may continue further on whether there will only be one end to it. The next season may see Senku produce the revival potion and find a way to defeat Tsukasa.
Release:
Dr Stone season 2 is expected to be seen in January 2021 considering the world situation in production at this point. If things go well and the production process is in line, we might expect the next season on the air in late 2020.
