After 15 years of misunderstanding between shows, makers and actor Christopher Eccleston announced his return to the show. In many of his interviews, he clearly stated that there was no chance of his return to the show Doctor who. The actor will be returning on the show as Time Lord. It took 15 years for the actor to return to the show. The series might return in May next year.
Though the fans are happy to see the return, producer of Doctor Who: The Ninth Doctor Adventure will be the last season. Christopher Eccleston is very excited about his return to the show. He says that it will be very exciting to return to the show after 15 years, and he will be back to the character he loves to play.

Later in 2015, Christopher Eccleston praised the show so many speculations that he might return. But then Christopher cleared that he will not return.
On August 9, 2020, it was announced that he will return to the last and final of the show. The production will be taken by Big Finish Production. It will be released between May 2021 to February 2022.
