Bayonetta is a single-player, third-person 3-d action game based on the fictitious witch Bayonetta. Bayonetta had lost her memory and only has half of the ”Eye of the World”. She is the child of the Umbra Witch and Lumen Sage which is a forbidden combination. Bayonetta is informed about the rumour that the other half is there out in the world for her to capture. The game follows her pursuits in gaining the other ‘Eye’ and also in due course regaining her lost memory. The gameplay makes the player control Bayonetta using different combinations to attack. The player can use various “Attacks” and “Tortures” int he gameplay and also use melee and long ranges weapons. “Witch Time” is the ability of Bayonetta which activates when the player makes a well-timed dodge to an attack. This temporarily slows down the time so that Bayonetta can make as much damage as possible in that period to her enemies.
