Here is some good news for all our anime lovers out there. The dark fantasy anime, Overlord is coming back with its fourth season!
Based on the Japanese novel counterpart written by Kugane Maruyama, season 1 was seen with a series of thirteen episodes that aired from July 7 to September 29, 2015. It covered the first three volumes of the light novels, but almost fourteen volumes have been published since July 30, 2012. The author stated that he had planned for 17 novels but he would only continue further if there was enough popularity.
The end of Overlord Season 3 in 2019 left a long-lasting, memorable impression on the fans. We all are waiting excitedly for season 4 now. Yes, that’s right. Overlord season 4 is awaiting its launch around this time. Although there isn’t much information available regarding the release date, we can expect it to release either in late 2020 or early 2021. Waiting for the release date of season 4 anytime soon is not feasible. Therefore, all we can do is wait for an official announcement to be made.
Talking about this show’s rating and popularity, there is no doubt that Season 4 will be far better than Season 3. The show has always managed to keep up to the fans’ expectations and I am pretty sure it will continue to do so in the future as well. Personally, I have always loved anime and this is one of my favorite shows!
The upcoming plot of Overlord’s season 4 will be gutsy, as our fans will witness Ainz (the protagonist) in a supervillain form. But to be honest, here it will be exciting to find him with a more significant force. The next season will most likely introduce new fandom and other characters to improve our viewers’ enthusiasm.
