We’ve been working on remastering and re-creating one of our favorite games from the last generation, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The introduction of two single-player adventures for the first time in an original game is something we’re incredibly proud about. This marks a major advancement that will allow gamers more options when it comes to experiencing Naughty Dog’s incredible title, and opens up possibilities with how they can play their favorite games going forward! We put together this trailer at Naughty Dog to evoke nostalgia and interest for those who have never played an Uncharted game before. Whether you’re a long time fan looking back on your favorite moments from the series, or someone new excited by what they see in our footage – we hope that after watching these screenshots of sorts (because it is all about capturing those small details), you’ll fall under Drake’s spell!
The Uncharted series is one of the most successful and well-loved game franchises in recent history. With that success comes many lessons learned from both successes as well failures; U4 was no exception with its animation being improved upon for almost every aspect after having suffered some major setbacks during the development process beforehand (which we’ll go into later).
With our richly detailed cinematics now able to play in real-time, we could create a seamless experience that seamlessly integrated gameplay and cutscenes. We used physics coupled with procedural animations such as cloth movement or grass swaying in the wind for more believable characters who are also responsive – all leading up to this groundbreaking moment where everything comes together beautifully!
We can’t wait for you to experience the incredible gameplay and cinematic storytelling of Uncharted: The Lost Legacy on PS5! We will have an even greater variety of environments in this console generation thanks only to what your imagination brings us. Thank god it’s not just me who is impressed by how awesome our team are; they truly deserve all credit here because without them none would be possible anymore
