Made in Abyss is one of the Japanese anime series, with another different story of a girl finding her parent. It is amazing to see so many animes and all have different stories completely out of the box, kudos to the creative thinking of the makers.

THE PLOT
The series is directed by Akihito Tsukushi and published by Takeshobo and the first season was released in the year 2017. The story is about an orphan girl named Riko who lives in an area where there is a big hole known as the abyss, where a previous civilization remains are found. This interested the cave raiders who go into the abyss which is known for being cursed and all, Riko’s mother was among the cave raiders who went into abyss and never came back.
Riko who finds human-robot Reg becomes friends with him, one day she finds a letter by her mother to come and find her. She being mama’s child and fascinated by her and her work goes on a journey to the abyss to find her mother, she is a strong-willed girl and with her human-robot, she sets on an unknown, mysterious adventure where God knows what lies in that abyss.

MADE IN ABYSS SEASON 2
It has been three years after the first season has been released, it’s not like that it was negatively criticized or anything like that. The response towards the series was positive and was liked by everyone, but sometimes creativity takes time.
In the name of the sequel a movie was made and not the series, Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul, this movie was released in Japan in January 2020 and it was set to be released in the U.S.A this year only but in April. Then like any other series fate, even this movie was postponed because of the most talked-about pandemic COVID-19, the movie ended with ‘to be continued….’ so we are sure that another season is coming but in what form is not known yet, mostly it will be a series only. Season 2 will be a continuation of Riko’s journey and the mysteries she will encounter and how will she find her mother.
