Sword Art Online: Alicization – War of Underworld Part 2 is the title of the next chunk of episodes to be aired under the Sword Art Online anime series banner. The anime series is based on the light novel series by the same name/ title. The novel was written by Reki Kawahara. The series is into its Alicization arc which spans over the 9th to 18 volume of the novel and is divided into two parts in the anime series.

About the series:
The Sword Art Online is an MMORPG player series, which means the story of the series is based on characters that control a player in the online game based on their conscience. The story revolves around the group of friends who join the game but now can not get off it due to a strange condition. The condition makes the player to play until they reach the hundredth level. The players have to wear something called the “NerveGear”, its structure is similar to a helmet but the difference is it stimulates the brain.

This technology enables the players to actually control the characters with their brains and play according to their conscience. If the players try to get the NerveGear off their head before the hundredth level they will die. There are ten thousand players playing the game all in the pursuit to reach the 100th level and get off the game. The game also has it that they have to defeat the ultimate BOSS and if they die in the game in between they shall die in the real world as well. Seems quite a frightening one, isn’t it? But it sure is a thrill to watch the series.
Release Date and more:
The second part of Acilization Arc of the series was supposed to air in April 2020 but the makers shifted it in the view of COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has affected the entertainment industry and this show was no exception. The new release date confirmed by the makers was July 11, 2020. This part will witness much more action and thrill as compared to the previous episode and the series will continue from its 37th episode in this part.
