With the change of plans for the sequel since 2014, it is hard to say when is the nearest release date. One thing which we are sure of is that Brad Pitt will be there in the second sequel of World War Z.

There is a lot of discussion going on about the movie after it’s release, but since 2016 there are a lot of rumors going on. In 2016 we got confirmed news about the release of World War Z. It said that it will be filmed in 2018. The film is getting delayed a lot of times due to Brad Pitt’s commitment.
Till very late it said that the film will release in 2019 when the film didn’t even start to shoot. In February 2019, the movie shifted to 2020. Due to the pandemic, the producer thinks that China is the biggest market and it won’t release a zombie movie. This leads the producers to drop the movie. Although the decision of cancellation is not confirmed. It might get released a bit later.
Expected Storyline
The storyline for the first movie where Brad played the character of Gerry Lane and they had to fight against the Zombie pandemic. The film has great friction and keeps you on the edge.
