Taboo aired on BBC One in the UK on 7 January 2017 and FX in the United States on 10 January 2017. The series has eight parts, and the series plot was set in the 19th century. It is about the dark and negative side of London at that time, such as political corruption, business corruption, the distress of working-class, gangs, and how the rich keep getting richer.

The first season plot is set in 1814, it follows James Keziah Delaney (Hardy), a man who has been to the ends of the earth and comes back irrevocably changed. The main character was believed to be a long time dead, and he returns home to London from Africa to inherit the leftovers of his father’s shipping empire. But his father’s legacy is a poisoned chalice and there are his enemies who are lurking in every dark corner, so James must navigate increasingly too complex territories to avoid his own death sentence. The whole season consists of conspiracy, murder, and betrayal, a dark family mystery that unfolds in a burning show of love and treachery.
The cast of season 2 will include Tom Hardy and Leo Bill and Jessie Buckley and Stephen Graham as Atticus Oona Chaplin as Zilpha Geary and Jefferson Hall as Thorne Geary. According to some sources, the show will also include Tom Hollander, Edward Hogg, Franka Potente, Michael Kelly, and David Hayman.
The first season was filled with lots of twists showing the real but the dark world of London and hence the second season has more expectations by the viewers. Fans have been waiting madly for the superb acting of Hardy and the plot getting twisted more smoothly.
Hoping for the arrival, the show was promised to be soon in 2017, and the writers started plotting the frame midst the year but Hardy is also pretty busy himself, starring in Venom.
We received an update in 2019 regarding the shoot starting in late 2019 or even 2020, but corona wants the fam to wait more and more.
