Plot:
Riko is an orphaned girl. She lives in the Belchero Orphanage in the town of Ortho. In this town, there is a huge hole going straight inside the earth. This hole is known as the Abyss. The Abyss has artifacts and ruins of a long lost civilization. It is thus, the popular hunting spot for so-called Cave Raiders. “The Curse of the Abyss” is a mysterious and deadly curse that makes it hard or difficult to return from the Abyss. As you go deeper the effects get more deadly in the hole.

Riko wants to become a “WHite whistle” just like her mother. Once she finds a robot in the BAyss and names hin Reg. With the help of her friends, she manages to get him into Belchero. One day, a balloon comes to the surface from the Abyss with a message from Lyza that she is waiting in the depth of the abyss. Riko, determined to find her mother, bids farewell to her friends and departs to the Abyss with Reg as her companion.

The second installment of Made In Abyss came in the form of a movie. It was very surprising to have a movie as a continuation of an anime series. The film was very well-received as a sequel even though it came as a movie. It picked up the story from where the narraters left it in the first season. It has not been confirmed yet that the next installment will be a video or a complete series. All this said the world is facing a never seen before world pandemic. Many of the countries are in a state of emergency across the globe. This means we should not be expecting a new season anytime soon.
