Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos seem to be having the time of their life while also being in quarantine while the world battles with a pandemic.

The family has been on the longest family vacation ever at the Caribbeans while the world moves to quarantine. ET reported that that the couple, along with their kids, was in the Caribbeans.

What was Ripa’s statement regarding the getaway?

Ripa, in a statement, said that they are going to stay put there, in a statement to the ABC employees recently. He said that they had planned a family trip, and it included the entire family, of course. They arrived there, and three days later, the world and everything about it changed with everything shutting down and the government asking the people to stay at their homes and not venture outside. This had happened for the first time, and because of the gravity of the issue, Kelly Ripa and family decided to stay where they were and not return back for the time being till the situation normalized. It was confirmed by Ripa that when this happened, the couple, along with Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 17, i.e., the kids were there together. They were lucky that they had the kids with them there.

It was also stated that the trip was supposed to be a two-week long trip, but what was supposed to be a vacation turned into a place to stay real quick under the very unusual circumstances.

What has the family been up to?

Ripa also opened up about how it felt to be away from one’s family during a global pandemic when the world is overcome with feelings of uncertainty and anxiety and feels that they are lucky to be together. Ripa and Consuelos also celebrated their son’s virtual graduation from New York University recently, and it was a bittersweet moment as they had to celebrate this life milestone while being in quarantine. The other kids continue to attend school via the means of online classes.

Looking at the way things are unfolding in the light of the novel coronavirus, it looks like there is still a lot of time before Kelly Ripa and family can return back.
