Ripa, in a statement, said that they are going to stay put there, in a statement to the ABC employees recently. He said that they had planned a family trip, and it included the entire family, of course. They arrived there, and three days later, the world and everything about it changed with everything shutting down and the government asking the people to stay at their homes and not venture outside. This had happened for the first time, and because of the gravity of the issue, Kelly Ripa and family decided to stay where they were and not return back for the time being till the situation normalized. It was confirmed by Ripa that when this happened, the couple, along with Michael, 22, Lola, 18, and Joaquin, 17, i.e., the kids were there together.
