The merger of two major video game publishers will create an industry giant with unparalleled power.
If completed, this deal would bring together Microsoft and their Xbox game platform with Bethesda Softworks’ collection of popular video games including Call Of Duty, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series among others.
Microsoft is set to become the world’s third-largest gaming company by revenue, behind Tencent and Sony. The deal will likely close when it gets regulatory approval in China but if that doesn’t happen then these competitors are already ahead of them!
The company is currently facing two separate investigations, one by the state of California and another conducted by federal authorities. They are accused of rampant sexual harassment involving alcohol-fueled parties as well male employees joke about rape; a female employee who died after colleagues shared her nude photo among others things which resulted in an unwanted reputation for advances toward women at the workplace known popularly as “The Cosby Suite.”

After the acquisition is complete, Microsoft says that Kotick will continue to serve as CEO of Activision despite being a part-time worker for them. He and his team still have responsibility for driving efforts within company culture which include growth initiatives like accelerating business operations with help from Phil Spencer who currently holds this role at MS Gaming consoles/online services industry leader.
Microsoft and Activision have agreed to a deal that would see the mobile gaming giant acquire slot machines maker Mad Genius for $5 billion. The tech company says it will add Xbox Live services, like Game Pass which gives users access to games at no extra cost; if this closes out then gamers could soon be able to play Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3 on their phone too!
