This news should come as no surprise but for those of you who never knew here it is: Netflix has confirmed that Sex Education will return for a third season! The announcement video was made by none other than Headmaster Groff (Alistair Petrie), which you can watch later.
The fans can’t stop thinking about it, and one of them is me. This comedy-drama made it to top-ten most popular series of 2019 both in the UK and US streaming platforms.
However, due to the coronavirus outbreak, production might face some delay. Yet, we are going to draw out all the cards on the table, which will tell you everything about the highly anticipated season three of Sex Education.
Created by Laurie Nunn, the series premiered on 11 January 2019 on Netflix. It stars Asa Butterfield as Otis Milburn, and Gillian Anderson as Dr. Jean Milburn. The co-stars include Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey, Connor Swindells, Aimee Lou Wood and Kedar Williams-Stirling. The show became a critical and commercial success for Netflix, with a record of more than 40 million viewers streaming the debut series. The second series was released on 17 January 2020, and now has been renewed for a third series.

When will season three be coming out?
There is no confirmation yet regarding the production of the third season. The release date can be conflicted too due to the on going pandemic situation. The feasible chance of releasing season 3 is towards the end of 2021.
Who is going to appear in the casting?
We will get to see, Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield), Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa), Maeve Wisley (Emma Mackey), Dr. Jean F. Milburn (Gillian Anderson), and Adam Groff (Connor Swindells), reprising their roles from season one. Besides them, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Aimee Lou Wood, Chaneil Kular, Patricia Allison, and Alistair Petrie, may also appear with many others in the upcoming season.
What are the plot details?
In the last two series, viewers saw how Maeve and Otis were made for each other. But their timings and several other variables don’t match between them. They end up being an ideal couple, although they both have a lot of stuff to deal with first. In conclusion of season 2, we saw Otis confess his feelings towards Maeve through a voicemail which Isaac deletes. Definitely a selfish jerk move which raged all of our fans. However, we might get to understand what’s going on between them in the new season. So let’s wait patiently to see what drama might unfold! Until then, maybe a re-watch wouldn’t hurt.
