That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is an anime television series. It is an adaptation of the light Japanese fantasy novel written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. The novel was serialized online between 2013 and 2016. Moreover, in total, the novel has sixteen volumes.

Plot So Far
The series follows a thirty-seven-year-old man, Satoru Mikami, who is highly unsatisfied with his life. He got killed at the hands of some robbers and then got reincarnated in a fantasy world as a slime. Before dying, he wished to become a ‘predator‘ in his next life. So he wakes up as a slime monster. With this unique structure, he gets the power to devour anything and copy its appearance and abilities. Then, Satoru changes his name to Rimaru Tempest and befriends a powerful dragon, Veladora. He meets a Chosen One, discovers a forest alliance, and even persuades the resentment of a few Demon Lords.
Furthermore, the isekai genre captivates a worldwide appreciation for being a unique genre. In addition to that, the audience adores the stories set in anime fantasy worlds. Besides, the character eccentric nature of the story makes it so outstanding.
What to expect from Season 2
The first season of the anime was adapted up until Volume Four of the light novel series.
Although the makers are keeping their information tightly under the wraps, if we go by the novel, we would have an idea of what’s coming in season 2. The story might take a dark turn. Demon Lord Milim might declare war on a nearby kingdom where Rimuru and the Jura Forest Alliance live. Rimuru’s appearance may become slightly older, which usually implies to enormous power upgrade.

The Release Date
Previously, the second season was to air in October 2020. But sadly, amidst of the pandemic, the release date has been pushed to January 2021. The show airs on Tokyo MX, BS11, tv and MBS.
