The UP Board has canceled the class 12 board examination for 2021 to avoid any interruptions. The decision was made after the Central Government, canceled CBSE’s exam due to the Covid-19 pandemic which is responsible for over 10 deaths of school children and adults alike.
“For 10th boards, Marks of class 9th and pre boards exams will be considered and an average will be calculated, however, for 12th committee will decide how the results will be evaluated,” UP Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma said.
It was expected that the UP Board class 12 students would be evaluated on a basis of what their respective schools gave them, but Prime Minister Narendra Modi made it clear to cancel any CBSE exam for this year.

PM Modi has created a nationwide controversy with his decision to cancel the Class 12 CBSE Board Exams. It is not clear why he made this sudden and disputed proposal, but it did seem that student health was on top of his agenda as well as their future.
“After extensive consultations,” PM Modi wrote in an official tweet last Wednesday night, “we have taken a decision that is student-friendly.” He went onto explain how they took care to ensure every person’s needs were met before making such drastic changes for students across India.
