Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese dark fantasy, adventure series based on a Manga of the same name, written by Koyoharu Gotōge. The series first premiered on the 6th day of April 2019. It is Directed by Haruo Sotozaki and was broadcast on Tokyo MX network. The series boasts of an Imdb rating of 8.8 out of 10. The Manga as well as the Anime series has been widely acclaimed and has been the recipient of many prestigious awards.
DEMON SLAYER 2- STORYLINE:
The story of the series is set in the Taishō-era of Japan. It follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a kind hearted and intelligent boy. He lives in the mountains. His father has died recently and he is the sole bread earner of their family. He visits the nearby village on a daily basis to sell charcoal.
One day, as he returns to his home after the day’s work, he finds out that his family has been brutally slaughtered by demons. He and his sister Nezuko are the sole survivors left! He also finds out that Nezuko has been converted into a demon. Yet, she still has some human attributes.
The demons once used to be humans. They have sold their humanity in exchange of superpowers. Demons feed on humans. They posses abilities of magic, regeneration and super strength.
To fight the demons, there is a secret society known as Demon Slayer Corps. Tanjiro comes in contact with Giyū Tomioka, a member of the society and eventually joins it. Demons can only be killed if they are decapitated with a weapon made up of a special alloy, the Sun Steel. The alloy is made up of the poison of a flower. Demon slayers are purely human and use special breathing techniques known as breaths which gives them some superhuman resistance and strength.
The series follows the journey of Tanjiro in quest of his revenge.

DEMON SLAYER 2- RELEASE DATE:
There is no fixed date announced officially for the release of the second season. According to Rumours, the season may be released by the end of this year or by early next year.
