Will there be Drifters anime season-2
The first season of the anime appeared back on October 7, 2016, and was completed on December 23, 2016. The renewal of the second season was announced after the end of the first season. Although almost four years have passed since then, no progress has been made since then.
The announcement was made at the end of season 1, which read, “Season Two will be held. See you again. Tokyo 20XX. Sayonara.” Now, this could mean any year. So, even if the show is updated, fans may have to wait a long time to see their hidden vigilante back on screen.
Drifters anime season-2 – Release date
No show release date available from now. Although the game was revived for the second season in 2016, no progress has been made to move the series forward.
The main reason for the delay may be a lack of content. At present, this text is available in only six volumes. The first season included four of those volumes, leaving two more. This is obviously not enough for a completely new season. What makes matters worse is that three episodes of OVA have already covered about half of Volume 5.
In addition to the show’s update, we may still have to wait for new volumes to be released before we can wait for season 2 to start production. We can be sure that the false author is still working hard as new chapters were released in January 2020.

Drifters – Plot
Shimazu Toyohisa, while taking part in the Sekigahara War, was able to severely injure Ii Naomasa, but was seriously injured in the process. As she walks out of the injured field and donates blood, Toyohisa finds herself transferred to the doorway, where she is awaited by a man watching from a desk.
The man, Murasaki, sends Toyohisa through a nearby door where he wakes up in another world. There, Toyohisa finally meets various other amazing heroes who are transported as well, to be a member of the group named the “Drifters”.
The world is home to many indigenous peoples and races, including elves, dwarves, and hobbits. Though, the world is at war right now, as people fight a war against other groups, full of superheroes named the “Ends”, who wish to control the world and also kill all of the Drifters. Under Ends’ command are many evil spirits, including giants and beasts, who use them to destroy everything in their path.
At the beginning of this series, the Ends army occupied the northern part of the continent, and it attempted to invade the south by a very important fortress at the northern end of the Carneades. Meanwhile, the “Octobrist Organization”, a group of native-born magicians, is trying to unite several Drifters individually to save their world from the vicious Ends.

Shimazu Toyohisa – Known as the main character of the play, the character is based on a real character of the same name, who was a famous Samurai fighter. In the story, Shimazu is taken to the land of dreams, where he becomes part of the Drifters and is determined to save the people from the senseless tyranny that prevails there.
Nobunaga Oda– Known as a powerful Japanese military commander, Nobunaga is one of the world’s first allies in the dream world. Besides, he is one of the most important characters in the game.
Yoichi Suketaka Nasu– Known as a Samurai historian, Yochi, in the play, is portrayed as a 19-year-old man who became part of the Drifters. He is an extremely talented archer, a talent that always helps throughout the series as he defeats many enemies.
