The Resident Evil-themed chapter in Dead by Daylight is bringing back familiar faces to any fan of the recent remakes. The new Killer, Nemesis from RE3 will be joined by two survivors: Jill Valentine and Leon S. Kennedy who have been staples in previous games.
Dead by Daylight is a horror game in which four Survivors have to face off against one Killer. The Survivors are pretty helpless, so their job is to escape the area and repair generators around the map while evading the killer until they can make it out of there alive again another day. A new map for Dead by Daylight will be based on Raccoon City Police Department- an iconic location from Resident Evil 2 -and will also contain some procedurally generated areas!
Nemesis is one of the most unique Killers in Dead by Daylight. His title is Tyrant, and he brings Resident Evil tropes to this game. He attacks with a deadly tentacle that has a range similar to Huntress, Trickster, or Deathslinger’s abilities while also infecting Survivors hit with his T-Virus disease which causes them to cough more loudly than usual making it easier for him to find survivors who may be hiding from other killers like Wraith or Nurse.
The T-Virus has infected countless people for decades, and it’s no surprise that the threat of a pandemic is still looming over us. The notorious Nemesis classed as an AI zombie with more power than your average ghoul due to his ability to infect other players. This makes him one terrifying creature who can easily outsmart you at every turn if he manages to get too close! To avoid this fate, Survivors must make sure they have enough vaccines on hand or risk being turned into mindless zombies themselves in just moments!
Jill and Leon are hardier than the other Survivors, each with their own set of perks. Jill can place mines on generators to make them explode when someone tries to sabotage it- this will blind Killers that go near the generator. Leon’s unique perk is flashbangs which have a variety of uses: they stop killers from carrying downed survivors, or alerting you if one has been in your area recently!
