As Takezou and Chika collaborate with several other members of their koto club, they discover the power of friendship and music–learning how important it is to strive for something that resonates with their hearts. Are You Keeping Up With its Chapter 122?
In the 122nd chapter of Kono Oto Tomare, the Fuurin Kai competition continues and everything seems to be going smoothly. Chika confidently takes his seat at the shamisen and begins to play. However, before he can finish, Shuu interrupts and says that Chika’s performance should have been disqualified as it technically did not follow the traditional style. His logic makes sense, but nobody in the audience is happy that their excitement was cut short. Aoi then steps up and believes in Chika’s ability to play in an unconventional but still beautiful way, so she stands up for him against Shuu. It remains to be seen if Chika will be allowed to continue playing or if his score will have to be downgraded due to the rules violation. In any case, this chapter certainly keeps us on edge with a high stake competition!

Fans of Kono Oto Tomare! have been anxiously awaiting the release of Chapter 123, but the manga’s irregular update pattern makes it difficult to reliably predict when the new chapter will be released. Though there has been no official announcement yet, one possible release date that has been suggested is April 18th, 2023 – roughly two weeks from now. Of course, this potential date should be taken with a grain of salt until something more concrete is confirmed, but if past updates can provide insight into the future, then it looks like fans won’t have to wait much longer for the thrilling next installment of Kono Oto Tomare!.
