Things got out of hand when Lyle and a few of his men barged into Thaniel’s home in the middle of the night to frighten him into doing what they wanted.
In the end, Thaniel shot himself, three of Lyle’s men committed suicide using grenades, and Lyle had to set the building on fire and execute two more of his men to hide his tracks. That was a warning.
Eli Gemstone was involved in the second strike (John Goodman). Eli was killed by a group of motorbike guys ordered by Lyle. Why? to liberate Jesse (Danny McBride) from his father’s oppression. At the groundbreaking for Zion’s Landing, Lyle made a whole confession, which prompted a frightened Jesse to slingshot him until he passed out.
But the third blow was administered by Lyle’s wife Lindy (Jessica Lowe). Jesse called his family to assist him to decide what to do with the body, believing that he had just killed Lyle. At that time, Lindy threatened the rest of the family with a pistol before shooting BJ (Tim Baltz). Either they would give in and let her kill BJ, or they would walk into the water and allow Lyle and Lindy to escape. Don’t worry; the Gemstones went for the second option. Gemstones consistently triumph.
The last chapter of this edition, which takes place a month later, shows Jesse, Judy (Edi Patterson), and Kelvin (Adam Devine) singing for their congregation while Eli exacts his vengeance. His group of snowmobile-riding men located the evading Lessons, killed Lindy, and chased Lyle onto a frozen lake. Lyle Lissons was frozen to death after season 2 and on the verge of being eaten by wolves. It serves as a scary warning to keep away from the Gemstones. Amen.
