Q-Force Season 2, cancelled? or Are there any hopes?

Q-Force at Netflix was an animated series that was about an LGBTQ+ intelligence unit that was underappreciated by the agency, the storyline was about the unit working hard to make the agency release that they are also worth it. Q-Force had 10 episodes in its first season, fans highly appreciated the series, and fans were excited about season 2. But Netflix said that they won’t be continuing the series, TVLine has confirmed. The show was animated by Titmouse Inc.

Why the cancellation is a bad decision?

It was May when we first heard the news about the cancellation of the Q-Force when Matt Rogers, writer, and cast member, spoke about it in an episode of the Attitudes! Podcast, which is a podcast about LGBTQ issues.

Rogers also talked about his experience of recording 2the dialogues for the show in his closet because it was in lockdown, Rogers said,” I loved it, it was so fun to be able to bring joy to something.” also talked about fans, Rogers mentioned,” The people who loved it loved it, and the good news is that it always be on Netflix. It did not get a second season, but it is out there and it exists.”

Q-Force premiered on Netflix in September 2021, and the storyline is as follows, Steve Mayweather also known as Agent Mary, was once the Golden Boy of the American Intelligence Agency (AIA), until he came out as gay. After knowing that he is a gay agency made his transfer to West Hollywood, to make him less involved in the main work of the agency, but their Agent Mary meets other LGBTQ geniuses who were also useless to the agency. He meets expert mechanic Deb, master of drag and disguises Twink, and hacker Stat, together they’re Q-Force.

How was the first season?

The series’ reaction includes both positive and negative responses, the series has around 6.4/10 ratings on the rating website IMDb and on another rating website called Rotten Tomatoes had an average of 3.4/10 reviews. The bad reviews about this show were mostly about stereotypical shows of LGBTQ+ characters.

The first and only season of the show consisted of some of the big names of the industry as the list starts with David Harbour who played Hopper in the TV show called Stranger Things, Sean Hayes of Will & Grace, Wanda Sykes who was in Curb Your Enthusiasm and Gary Cole, Patti Harrison, Laurie Metcalf, Matt Rogers.

Fans were extremely pleased with the way the show came out, a fan while giving a review said something like this,” SO under-rated. As of today, only have a 5 on IMDb. Some funny stuff that they aren’t getting credit for… gay jokes, lesbo jokes. They joke about Citibank and wells Fargo. On the plus side, they swear and tell it like it is. They freely make LGBTQ jokes, and they aren’t afraid of the consequences. The writers explained it as ‘Real Fun’, followed by remarks as, free-spirited people who are living their lives to the fullest. Well, the show also contains West Hollywood jokes as the transfer of the characters is to WeHo. I hope they make more! Kind of a gay Archer. It’s fun. Party on!

Well, we won’t be getting a season two but we now know that, if done right, all kinds of jokes are funny.
