Development

DokeV is currently being developed with Sangyoung Kim, a key animator on Black Desert, serving as lead producer, and Pearl Abyss creator Daeil Kim serving as executive producer.

Possible Date of Release

Although the next Pearl Abyss game’s precise release date has not yet been determined, it is anticipated to arrive in 2022. Summer Game Fest did not showcase the game.

Since the gameplay was shown last year, DokeV development has picked up speed, but the game won’t be available anytime soon because Pearl Abyss is putting Crimson Desert development first.

Colorful action adventure with creature collection DokeV won’t be released until Pearl Abyss finishes working on and launches their second major game, Crimson Desert, the company appears to have stated in their most recent earnings conference.

DokeV production, according to Pearl Abyss, has greatly speeded up since its unveiling last year, but the developer has chosen to prioritize work on Crimson Desert for “commercial concerns.”

History

DokeV’s title was originally made public on November 7, 2019. The official announcement trailer for DokeV was initially shown the next week, on November 14, 2019, at Pearl Abyss Connect 2019, which was held at G-STAR 2019, in South Korea. On December 5, 2019, the following month, the reveal trailer’s ROCKSTAR original soundtrack, lyric video, and fresh screenshot were made public. The first gameplay trailer for DokeV debuted at Gamescom: Opening Night Live 2021 in Germany on August 25, 2021.

Platforms

Which platforms DokeV will be made accessible on when it launches has not yet been officially announced by Pearl Abyss. Black Desert, another game by the same creator, is currently accessible on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. The PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Microsoft Windows, and more platforms are anticipated to receive the game. It’s important to note that the tags on the DokeV official YouTube page indicate Windows, Xbox, and PS4; however, this may be done to aid the YouTube algorithm rather than to confirm the platforms on which the game will be launched.

Gameplay

The game was originally intended to be an MMO, however, Pearl Abyss has stated that during production it was modified to a creature-capture game. They stated: “#DokeV was initially released as an MMO, but we chose to take the game on a different path, and it is currently an open-world creature-collecting action-adventure.

DokeV will undoubtedly launch on PC and consoles, however, we are unsure of which consoles. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are the most likely platforms for the game’s release. It’s entirely feasible that Pearl Abyss won’t support last-gen consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One because they’re employing their own “next-gen engine.”

Song

The music from the trailer, ROCKSTAR, which can be downloaded from the game’s official website, was one of its main components. The song is also available for download in a remixed form. The song is a funny K-Pop anthem that blends in beautifully with the anime aesthetic of the game.

Trailer

The DokeV teaser, which debuted at Gamescom 2021, is a stunning anime-styled visual feast that should appeal to lovers of Pokemon and other video games. The trailer’s unveiling of the rideable alpaca is one of its most memorable moments.
