Before the airing of the last episode of the 18th season of Grey’s Anatomy, die-hard fans of the series were unsure as to what fresh plot twists the show writers could devise. Because the drama has been airing on television since 2005, some fans have begun to ask what new concepts may be introduced into the series to maintain its level of novelty and excitement.
Many Grey’s Anatomy viewers were left on the edge of their seats after the 18th season since the show’s writers’ room is home to some of the brightest brains in television.
In the last episode of the previous season, Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital was a complete wreck. The residency program was terminated, a handful of physicians resigned and fled from the authorities, and two essential members of the hospital and the show went on leave with no intentions to return in the foreseeable future.
The first episode of the nineteenth season of Grey’s Anatomy will air on ABC on Thursday, October 6, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The next day, the episode will be available to view in its entirety on Hulu. To this day, there has been no public declaration made about the date on which the first episode of the next season will air in the UK.
Ellen Pompeo, who plays Meredith Grey on the show, is one of the stars who will undoubtedly return for another season. Since she has been the center of attention from the very beginning, she is still considered to be the show’s beating heart and driving force. Even though she is perhaps best known for her part in Grey’s Anatomy, she has, in the past, played the roles of Karen Page in the film adaptation of Daredevil and Nicole in Old School.
The conclusion of some of the show’s most popular characters for the previous season was not resolved in the 400th and last episode of the show’s 18th season, which also served as the season finale.
Other characters, including Miranda, opt to leave the hospital while Meredith makes the decision to remain in the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in Seattle rather than traveling to Minnesota. We are fortunate to have another season coming up so that we may finish off any unfinished business.
This past January, ABC announced that the network has placed an order for a 19th season of the program, which has now established itself as the longest-running primetime medical drama series.
 Even though ABC hasn’t disclosed the official tagline for the future season, the season 18 series finale establishes several stories that will be continued in the following season. In light of the conclusion of Grey Sloan Memorial Institution’s residency program, it is anticipated that the focus of season 19 will be mostly on Meredith as she tries to salvage the hospital, particularly in light of Miranda’s departure from her position as Chief of Surgery.
