SUMMER TIME RENDERING SEASON 2: UPDATES
In anticipation of the final episode of the first half of the season, “Friend,” which is titled “Tomodachi” in the original Japanese, which will air on July 8, a trailer for the second half of the season has been released. The trailer shows Shinpei’s unwavering resolve to save everyone on the island, pun intended.
Along with the teaser, a brand-new key art image with Shinpei in the middle of the frame brandishing a gun, Ushio on the upper right, and the goddess Haine on the lower left, resembling the Yin and Yang symbols, has also been unveiled. They all seem to be sporting one of Haine’s red eyes.
The trailer opens with Shinpei declaring his determination to survive against all obstacles—including death—and save everyone on the island. Then, as though on a videotape, we are given a brief rundown of each of Shinpei’s time leaps, which were invariably brought on by his passing.
Up until the fifth and last lap, the several laps present a summary of what has happened in the program thus far. The remainder of the teaser teases us with the difficult challenges Shinpei and his comrades will encounter to survive this supernatural ordeal.
The manga series by Yasuki Tanaka, which had its initial run from October 2017 to February 2021, served as the inspiration for Summer Time Rendering. OLM created the anime adaption, which debuted in April. Ayumu Watanabe is the director, and Miki Matsumoto is the character designer.
Natsuki Hanae, a veteran of providing the voice for anime heroes, is leading the voice cast as Shinpei. Other actors in the cast include Anna Nagase as the endearing Ushio Kofune, Saho Shirasu as her younger sister Mio, Yko Sanpei as the voice of the Hizuru, and Rynosuke siblings, and Kensho Ono as Shinpei’s best buddy S Hishigata.
It’s difficult to imagine that Summer Time Rendering is now over. But interest in Summer Time Rendering Season 2 is already high.
