George Alexander Trebek is a Canadian-Ameican television personality, game show host and actor. He has hosted various shows like Jeopardy! , Double Dare, High Rollers, Battlestars, Classic Concentration, The Wizard of Odds, and To Tell The Truth. Trebek is contracted to host Jeopardy! until 2022. Born in Sudbury in city Ontario, Canada, on July 22, 1940, Trebek a native of Canada, became an American citizen in 1998.
Trebek in 1961 began his career working for the CBC where he read the national news and cover a wide variety of special events for the radio and television divisions, including curling and horse racing for the CBC. Trebek also guest-starred on How I met your mother. On June 13, 2014, Guinness world records awarded Alex with world record for most of the episodes of a game show hosted, with exact 6,829 episodes at time.
In an interview with the CTV’s Chief Anchor and the Senior Editor Lisa LaFlamme, Trebek said that “I’m not afraid of dying,” and “I’ve lived a good life”. Alex Trebek, who lived his life happily for 79 years, is now on the verge of leaving the world soon. The sadness is everywhere as the man is fighting cancer which is in the last stage. He has wished to be happy in his final days before leaving behind everything. Alex Trebek, in his diagnosis, got to know that he has Pancreatic Cancer. While Trebek is trying to stay positive, he said that accepting the death is so hard for many of them. He said it was very difficult trying to be enough optimistic when the other person feels none of that … they feel despair only.”
